My name is Shane Rice. I’m happily married to my wonderful wife pictured above. I was born and raised in a christian home. When I was young, I realized I needed to be saved, and trusted Jesus as my own personal Saviour. When I was older, I had doubts about my salvation. At Hoosier Hills Baptist Camp as a 12 year old, I got assurance of my salvation. I simply asked the Lord to save me as if I had never done that before.  I’m 100% sure when I die, I will go to heaven, not based on my own merit, or good works, but because Jesus paid my price of sin, and saved me. The following year, at camp also, I surrendered to preach. I graduated from Massillon Baptist College in 1997. My wife and I started raising support to go to the mission field in 1999. God has allowed us to serve him in Peru (15 years), Italy (2 years) and currently at our sending church, Anchor Baptist Church in Massillon, OH. If you haven’t figured it out, I’m an independent Baptist preacher, who believes that the King James Bible is the infallible, inerrant Word of God.

As a missionary in a Spanish speaking country, I devoted much time to studying the Spanish Bible issue. I have worked with the Reina Valera Gomez spanish Bible project since somewhere around 2004-2005. I’m still a part of the Reina Valera Gomez Bible Society.
